Great 8 Trail Challenge

Looking for a local trail challenge? Try completing the Great 8!

Walk a trail from each of the eight trailheads in the Saratoga Sandplains and record your trips on “The Great 8” challenge checklist. When you finish, send your completed checklist along with $5.00 to to 80 Scout Road, Wilton, NY, 12831 and you will receive your Great 8 patch!

  • Remember that all of the trails are on land that is owned by our partners: the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Town of Wilton, Saratoga County, and The Nature Conservancy. Please respect their rules and regulations for trail use.

  • Always follow Leave No Trace principles.

  • Be kind and respectful to both humans and wildlife you come across on trail.
