Margo Bloom Olson, Executive Director
M.S. Science Education, B.S. Biology
After college, Margo spent four incredible summers working as a National Park Service Interpretive Ranger. After getting her Masters in Education, she worked as the Director of Education at the Junior Museum in Troy before becoming the Curator of Education at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs. She also worked as a member of the Campus Life Staff at Skidmore College before becoming the Executive Director at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, her dream job. She is happy to be able to help further the conservation goals of our partners, provide top-notch educational experiences for our community to foster the next generation of conservationists, and to promote, encourage, and educate people about the many benefits of spending time in nature.
Allyson Paradis, Environmental Education Coordinator, Environmental Educator
B.S. Environmental Science
Allyson previously worked for New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation in the Wildlife Unit at the central office. Allyson is a 2021 graduate of Siena College where she spent four years assisting in eastern coyote diet ecology research in the Capital Region and Rensselaer Plateau. She has experience in marine environmental education working on a whale watch boat out of Gloucester, MA as well as being a marine educator for the Center for Coastal Studies based in Provincetown, MA. Through working on the whale watch boat, Allyson discovered her true passion of teaching others about environmental and wildlife topics. Allyson enjoys spending time with her family, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her dog, Miley. You might even see Allyson and Miley on the trails!
Bella Joyce Osborn, Public Outreach Coordinator, Environmental Educator
B.S. Conservation Biology
Bella attended the University of Environmental Science & Forestry where she worked toward a degree in Conservation Biology with a focus on Environmental Writing & Rhetoric. She has experience as an Eco-Representative and Activities Coordinator for her university where she worked toward educating her peers on the importance of sustainability. She has also spent the last year and a half training as an environmental journalist and editor, working as the managing editor for ESF's arts and literary magazine, Unearthed. When she's not busy editing, you might spot Bella juggling 2-3 novels or happily crouched on a trail, collecting plant specimens for her beloved herbarium. Her heart beats for reading, writing, and fine art, her favorite painters are Claude Monet and Charles Courtney Curran. So, if you see Bella out and about on the trails or at our programs, don't be shy – she loves chatting and sharing her enthusiasm!
Magnolia Roosa, Environmental Educator
B.S. Human Biology, Sustainability
Magnolia attended the University at Albany and served during her last year as the Office of Sustainability’s Eco-Rep Program Coordinator, There, she discovered her love for teaching environmental and sustainable topics, and as a result of her efforts, was the Fall 2022 student recipient of UAlbany's Terra Award. In college, Magnolia also peer mentored for UAlbany's Writing and Critical Inquiry Program, volunteered with international students through the IELP Program, and served as Color Guard Co-Captain with the Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps. After graduating in May of 2023, Magnolia was an Education and Conservation Intern with WWPP and Saratoga PLAN. Following the internship, Magnolia is happy to be continuing with both organizations as an Environmental Educator for WWPP and the Stewardship Assistant at PLAN! Other favorites of Magnolia's include crocheting, hiking, and matcha lattes.
Kayleigh Filkins, Environmental Educator
M.S. Environmental Science and Ecology, B.S. Wildlife Science
Kayleigh graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2024 with her master's degree in environmental science and ecology. Her graduate studies focused on how the American woodcock uses resources during the breeding season. She received her bachelor's degree in wildlife science from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (2021) and spent a year working on researching tick-borne diseases. While her previous positions were academic based, don't be fooled! Anyone who has spent more than five minutes outside with her knows you will quickly learn something new about birds, insects, or trees! She is very enthusiastic about helping everyone and anyone understand the natural world better. Kayleigh also enjoys birding, fishing, kayaking, and stained-glass art. When she's not outside, she can most likely be found with her own pet parakeet, Birdie.
